Some more recommended readings in short fiction, poetry, letters and more

Here are more ideas for online readings over the festive season - a few first issues even. And below some beautiful, hard copy, hold in your hands literary magazines.
The ezines:

The Linnet's Wings here  (editors Marie Lynam Fitzpatrick and Bill West) Winter 2013. A hard copy version is also available for purchase. My story With Matchsticks Not Money is in their latest issue.

The first issue of Spontaneity here  (editor Ruth McKee) on the theme of Age and Beauty.

And another first issue, The Irish Literary Review here (editor Catherine Higgins-Moore).

Abrigded here (editors Gregory McCartney and Susanna Galbraith) issued 3 times per year.

The Letters Page (editors Jon McGregor, and Paige Richardson) issue 2 here on the theme of penpals. Garden Room Writer Ann Hull has a letter in issue 1.

Five Dials number 30 see here  from Hamish Hamilton (editor Craig Taylor).

And don't forget to support hard copy literary journals this year. There are many excellent examples in Ireland. I've added some ideas below:

The Stinging Fly here (editor Declan Meade) which has an issue out 3 times a year, and it is also a small press selling many excellent short story collections.

Crannog here (editorial board Tony O'Dwyer, Sandra Bunting, Ger Burke and Jarlath Fahy) also has 3 issues per year.

Boyne Berries  here  and here (editor Michael Farry) 2 issues per year.

The Moth here  (editor Rebecca O'Connor) quarterly. And, the related children's magazine The Caterpillar here (ages 7 - 11 ish) also quarterly.

Irish Pages here biannual.

And the relatively new, The Penny Dreadful here (editors John Keating and Marc O'Connell) issue 2 now out.

For poetry only:

Poetry Ireland Review here (editor John F Deane) issued quarterly.

Skylight 47 here biannual (editors Skylight Poets). The Garden Room Writers have a featured article in the next issue due in January.

The Poetry Bus here (editor Peadar O'Donoghue).

The Shop here  a poetry magazine issued 3 times a year.

And all of the above take submissions at various times of year. See their websites for details.
